Today, I would like to share a very simple zikr, it is very easy to remember and very easy to practise. If you have been thinking what zikr should you start with, I think this one is a good one.
Which Means:
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "There are two statements, light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, dear to The Merciful : Glory be to Allah , this is the praise (Subhanallah Wa Bihamdihi), Glory be to Allah The Most Great (Subhanallahil Aziim)."
Hadith reported by Bukhari and Muslim, narrated by Abi Hurairah.
Two simple sentences "Subhanallah Wa Bihamdihi, Subhanallahil Aziim" symbolizing our gratefulness of Allah's countless bounty bestowed upon us. Amazingly, even our praise of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala earns us rewards from Him as another hadith shows :
Which Means:
The prophet peace be upon him said: (Whoever recites "Subhanallahi Wa Bihamdihi" in a day one hundred times, his sins will be pardoned even if they are as countless as the ocean's foam).
Hadith reported by Bukhari and Muslim, narrated by Abi Hurairah.
How great is Allah's mercy towards us that even while we are praising Him, our sins are pardoned and we are awarded more rewards that will hopefully benefit us in the Hereafter.
How many times in a day do we indulge in meaningless conversations? How hard can it be to replace those with these two simple statements? Not very hard, you just have to start. If, we have the time to indulge in the beauty and pleasures of this world, take the time to indulge in the beauty of it's Creator.
